The People’s Persistent World Project (PPWP) is a revolutionary new idea on how to manage a persistent world. The idea: to have the community of players run the persistent world by electing a board of players that manage the PW. The hope is that this new system of server management will solve various problems inherent to most, if not all, PWs around today including:
The People’s Persistent World Project is presently at the point where we have the Articles of the PPWP and the Objectives of the PPWP defined. These articles and objectives are what we will be using henceforth to manage our persistent world server and govern ourselves. We are presently in the process of developing a dynamic and living persistent world for NeverwinterNights 2 as well as a dynamic and involved community of players. This persistent world is set in the Forgotten Realms setting in the city of Proskur along the southern Dragonmere coast.
